Outlook resource calendar not updating
Rooms in Outlook (Exchange) can be reserved for meetings and other events. This includes conference rooms and other meeting spaces.
Changes made in Outlook are not synced with your Google Calendar.Rooms can be set up to handle reservation requests in one of two ways: A moderated room has at least one user who is responsible for accepting or declining meeting requests, and it can also have other delegates associated with it.If you have set up a moderated room, requests to reserve the room must be accepted or declined manually. There are known issues that cause some email clients, especially older clients and those on some mobile devices, to provide inconsistent and unreliable updating of calendar information via Exchange Active Sync.An exact cause is not always known and can vary from client to client.I have been using the Smartsheet calender for awhile but we use Outlook calendar at work and I was wondering if there was a way to sync my Smartsheet calendar with my Outlook calender. Hello John - While in the calendar view, click on the Publish Calendar to i Cal (on the toolbar to the left).
At the bottom of the Publish Options menu, click the button for i Cal (Calendar) to enable.
If you want to send the changes back to Google Calendar, you need to export your Outlook Calendar.
Google officially announced "Google Sync End of Life", including the Google Calendar Sync, last year.
For example, when someone creates a meeting and wants to reserve a room you manage, you will receive an email from Exchange, just as if you had personally been invited to the meeting.
You would then accept or decline the meeting invitation on behalf of the room.
And on 1 August 2014, our good old Google Calendar Sync has finally come to an end, alas.
